What is Dirty Oar Adventures going to be?

What is Dirty Oar Adventures going to be? That is a question I have frequently been asking myself lately. First, I expect it to be a source of information and education on how to catch fish, particularly in Lake Ontario and its tributaries. With our experience, know how, and willingness to share, I expect this site and our social media outlets to become excellent sources for both information and education on how, when and where to fish the region surrounding Lake Ontario.

Next, if you're like me and do not live in the region, you are frequently searching the internet for up to date information on river conditions, fish volume, and weather conditions in the the Salmon River area. This is even more important in the 2 month window that is salmon season. I have honestly struggled to find great info on the river during the fall, with vague references to fish in the river and sometimes info that feels too good to be true. I assure you, that will not be the case here. We plan on providing first hand reports on the river and lake fishing, with a particular emphasis placed on clear and concise reports during the time when salmon fishing is at its best. Our intent is to make fishing fun again!

In addition to information, our plan is to develop a YouTube channel, dedicated to entertaining and educating our viewers with videos from our fishing trips that include tutorials to help learn more about the incredible fishery that is in play in the Lake Ontario region. How, when and where videos will make up the bulk of our content, but they will include quite a bit of the fun we had while making them!

Lastly, we plan on working to receive our guide's licenses, and at a point in the future, open up our service to the public. As of now, part of our motto is Not For Hire, Just For Fun! That said, we plan on providing a "soup to nuts" service in the future, developing a client base of professionally trained fishermen, who take what they learn and become proficient at doing things after they're done with us. They will have an outstanding boat ride, catch plenty of fish, and if they are inclined, learn how to do it on their own for the future. Teach a man to fish...
